Karen Marie Louise Bertin of Harriston passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the age of 59. Wife of 20 years to Robert Unsworth. Mother to Justus Unsworth & Alyssa, and Morgan Unsworth. Daughter of Armand Bertin and the late Lucy (Tallevi) Bertin of Elmira. Sister of the late Anna-Marie Lapstra and her husband William, Anthony & Nikki Bertin of Toronto, Paul & Wendy Bertin of Newmarket, and Michael & Salvina Bertin of Mississauga. Aunt to the late Julie (Greg), Nicole, Heather (Brendon), Christopher (Katie), Leslie (Steve), Catherine, Carla (Jim), and Lisa (André), and great-aunt to Cassie, Annabella, Marley, Benjamin, McKenzie, Emma, Dante, Iysis, Kayson, Zi, Ezekiel, Shiloh and Eden. Stepmother of Jason, Lisa, Cheryl, Melissa Schmidt, and Matt (Sue) Krohn. Niece to Roland & Marie Bertin of Toronto, and cousin to Laurie, John, and Barbie. The Celebration of Karen’s life will be held at Clifford Community Church, (2 William St. N., Clifford) on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 11:00am with Pastor Doug Bott officiating. Visitation one hour prior, and reception to follow. The funeral will be livestreamed and the link available on the funeral home website. The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church, 19 Flamingo Dr., Elmira, on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00am with interment in Elmira Union Cemetery.
