Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the age of 93. Loved dearly by all who knew her. Beloved wife of the late Milton Martin (1998). Loving Mom of Raymond (Erla) of Alma, Elaine (Robert) Taylor of Rockwood, Ronald (Marlene) of St. Jacobs, Ralph (Beatrice) of Drayton, Wilbert (Leona) of West Montrose, Leon (Irene) of Elmira, Curtis (EllaMae) of Gowanstown, Cecil (Erma) of St. Clements, Loretta Martin, Stephen (Diane) all of Elmira, Mildred (Cleason) Martin of Wallenstein, Norma Martin, and Maynard both of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by 45 grandchildren and 150 great-grandchildren. Special Grandma and Great-Grandma to Hayziel and Layla Robinson. Special Mother to Ahmad Sami. Survived by sisters-in-law Susannah Bauman, Naomi Martin, and Sharon Martin, and her brother and sister-in-law Mervin and Alma Martin. Predeceased by her grandson Alex Martin, great-granddaughters Shannon Martin and Angelica Kraemer, parents Elias and Lydia Ann (Martin) Wideman, stepmother Hannah (Bauman), all her siblings Edwin (Salome) Wideman, Gordon (Helen) Wideman, Tilman (Lucinda) Wideman, Menno (Salema) Wideman, Mary (Angus) Martin, Clayton (Mary) Wideman, Alvin Wideman, Abner (Vera) Wideman, Lydia Ann (Milton) Bauman, Ephraim (Ruth) Wideman, Wilma (Alvin) Martin, Elvina Wideman, and in-laws Adeline (Orlan) Martin, Onias (Emma), Elmina (Jacob) Brubacher, Mary Ann (Sam) Martin, Leander, Wayne, Lovina (Leo) Ruttan, Anson (Betty), and Abner in infancy. Special thanks to Tamara NP for all your advice and care to keep Mom comfortable, and to Mom’s caregivers Denise and Carrie for your loving, supportive care; Mom loved you both. Visitation was held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 4-7pm at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Family service took place on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 9am in the funeral home chapel, then to West Montrose Mennonite Meeting House, 6101 Middlebrook Rd., West Montrose for burial and public service.
