On June 28, historic doors all over Fergus were unlocked for residents and visitors, and thousands took advantage of it.
“This year’s Doors Open event, which was held in collaboration with the Fergus 175 celebrations, exceeded all expectations,” said the co-chairman of the event’s organizing committee, Libby Walker. “With over 12 sites, 104 volunteers, and 4,400 patrons, this one-day event captured the curiosity of the local community and attracted people from all over Ontario.”
Of special interest were The Grand Theatre, The Beatty House, Stonehurst Bed and Breakfast, the County Museum, and Templin Gardens.
Each location saw more than 350 people visit over six-hours.
