FERGUS – The day will be about more than just rugby when the Fergus Highland Rugby Club hosts its annual “Club Day” on June 22 at Victoria Park.
“This year’s event promises to be a day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and the thunderous cheers of passionate fans,” said a club news release.
Community members can check out matches involving different age groups and skill levels. There will be a barbecue and skills competitions.
“Families, friends, and rugby enthusiasts [will] come together to enjoy a variety of activities, scrumptious local food, and the thrill of the game,” the release stated.
The day starts at 9am, with the schedule as follows:
West field:
– 9am U16 boys vs. Guelph
– 10am U16 boys vs. Waterloo
South field:
– 9am U16 girls vs. Guelph
– 10am U18 girls vs. Waterloo
– 11:15am U18 boys vs. Waterloo
– 12:30pm senior women vs. Niagara
– 2pm senior men 2XV vs. Niagara
– 3:30pm senior men vs. Niagara
– 5pm HOGS vs. GITS.
