FERGUS – The Victoria Park Seniors Centre in Fergus hosted a mystery card walk event for seniors, on June 10.
The event began with a warm-up exercise at 9:30am, followed by a lap around the field and into the two kilometre designated walk around the neighbourhood.
All were invited, no matter the distance one could walk.
Once the participants returned to the centre, a pack of cards were placed at the entrance for a luck of the draw pick.
Prizes consisted of strawberry plants, hanging baskets and gift certificates to fitness activities within centre.
“I wanted to do an event that was active, that would keep seniors active,” said supervisor of senior services, Kathryn Morgan.
The event occurs twice a year and has been running for 15 years.
