FERGUS – Rita Anand and her husband Greg, of Fergus, were tired of looking at bare fence in their backyard. The soil is clay and there’s a large cedar tree that made establishing a garden there impossible. So Anand rummaged through her basement and went to local reuse stores and created this tableau in an afternoon. It features empty picture frames on the fence, an antique dresser varanthaned for protection against weather, and the address sign from her former Chicago residence. “When the fairy lights come on at night, it’s so lovely and magical,” she said.
