FERGUS – On the morning of May 25, the Fergus and District Horticultural Society held its annual plant sale. The rain didn’t deter hundreds of enthusiastic gardeners who turned up, and the plants seemed happy too. The society, founded in 1857, maintains community gardens throughout the local area.
Volunteers, from left, included: George Kron, Randy McLean, Kathy Bouma (director of District 7), George Watson, Alan Jamieson and Ken Johnston (president).
