GUELPH – The Rainbow Chorus of Waterloo Wellington invites guests to two spring concerts on May 25, entitled Dance! Dance! Dance!
The concerts are at 2pm and 7:30pm at Harcourt Memorial United Church (87 Dean Ave., Guelph) and conducted by artistic director Alison MacNeill (she/her) with collaborative pianist Chris Fischer (they/them).
“Come tap your toes as we present a healthy helping of nostalgic dance songs arranged for choir,” organizers invite in a press release.
“From ABBA to Robyn to Pharrell Williams, come ready to groove and get down with the chorus.”
Rainbow Chorus choir member and drummer said “There’s something about a beat that makes people just want to move, and move together.
“When we add bass and drums to the singing, the choir and the audience start responding to the beat. Rhythm breaks down barriers between us and connects us – like a heartbeat that we all respond to.”
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students. They can be purchased at rainbowchorus.ca.
Dance! Dance! Dance! is sponsored by the City of Guelph, Harcourt Memorial United Church and Stantec.
The Rainbow Chorus of Waterloo Wellington is a community choir that welcomes members of all genders, sexualities, gender expressions, and allies of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
