Porcelain, raku, stoneware, majolica, earthenware, tiles, functional, decorative, sculptural, and wood fired pottery will all be featured at the 2008 Potters Market at Goldie Mill in the downtown here.
The event is a unique two day outdoor show featuring handcrafted pottery from over 40 artisans living across Ontario including Hamilton, Stratford, Bracebridge, Kingston and of course Guelph.
The market will run from 10am to 5pm May 24 and 25 and is set in the historic ruins of Goldie Mill, which is located directly behind the Guelph Youth Music Centre at 75 Cardigan St. Suzuki String School students will be busking among the ruins to add a festive atmosphere to the outdoor event.
For the first time, the Potters Market will be presented by the Guelph Youth Music Centre with all profits going to fund this non-profit community music centre.
A barbecue, snacks, and drinks will be available on site.
