GUELPH – A Puslinch male faces dangerous driving and other charges after fleeing a collision last Friday.
Guelph Police officials say that on April 12 at about 6:45pm a woman was slowing for stopped traffic on Speedvale Avenue West at Edinburgh Road North when her car was struck from behind.
“The other driver then switched lanes, mounted a curb and drove across the grass before fleeing the scene,” police stated in an April 15 press release.
“Investigation led to the identity of a suspect. Shortly after midnight, police were called for a disturbance outside a Woodlawn Road West business. One of the males involved in a physical altercation was the driver from the earlier hit and run and he was arrested.”
A 35-year-old Puslinch man is charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and driving while suspended. He will appear in Guelph court May 24.
