CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township of Centre Wellington (Elora & Fergus Tourism) and the Elora Fergus Arts Council invite you to be a part of Culture Days 2024, a celebration of arts and culture like no other.
Culture Days is the largest collective public participation campaign undertaken by the arts and cultural community across Canada.
Every year, thousands of events are connected under the celebratory banner of Culture Days – communities large and small are united from coast to coast to increase public engagement in cultural experiences through free, participatory arts and culture events.
The next National Culture Days celebrations will take place from Sept. 20 through Oct. 13 for three glorious weeks of colour, creativity and community.
This year’s theme, “CommUNITY: A Melody of 25 years,” embodies harmony, unity, and the celebration of our vibrant cultural tapestry in Centre Wellington – while also being a nod to the 25th Anniversary of amalgamation in Centre Wellington.
“Join us as the commUNITY comes together to create a beautiful melody of diversity and harmony through various cultural events, performances, and activities that make living in this community vibrant and entertaining,” officials state.
Organizers are looking for cultural creators, artists, performers and community groups to host free or pay-what-you-may interactive arts and cultural events and activities during Culture Days 2024 to contribute to the vibrancy of the cultural celebration.
Whether you’re a grassroots community volunteer, independent artist, artisan, teacher, or part of an art institution, there’s a place for you in commUNITY!
Micro-grants may be available to support your initiatives, based on availability.
Deadline for submissions is May 21.
