Headwaters Arts Festival runs Saturday

The Headwaters Arts Festival will run here on Saturday from 10am to 4pm at the Dufferin County Museum on Highway 89 and Airport Road.

The day will feature high school student art, and that show will continue until June 15.

There are other activities being held throughout the day. Greenspaces for Wellington will be building birdhouses with kids aged 2 and up. That runs from 10 to noon and the kids can take home their birdhouse at a cost of $10.

There is also a course on making handmade books, with Rita Reitsma, from 10am to noon. Participants will make three different types of books.

During that same timeframe, there will be sing-alongs magic tricks, and stories told with Al the Pal.

From noon to 1pm, lunch is provided.

At 2pm, student art show awards will be presented, and there will be a live musical performances by the Mayfield Secondary School students.

There will also be a draw to win a cooking class with Roberto Fracchinoni, the executive chef at the Milcroft.
