Obituary

Passed away peacefully on April 4, 2024 at Wellington Terrace LTC at the age of 81. Beloved Husband of the Late Joan Dietrich (Dick) (2017). Loving Father to Tammy and Ken Vandenberg, Tracy and Robert Oelschlagel, Tawnya and Ken Helmka, and Robert Dietrich. Cherished “Pa Pa” to Trevor and Natasha Vandenberg, Michelle and Dan Bruce. Jessica Oelschlagel and Darcy Thring, Jennifer Oelschagel and her Fiance Andrew Hamilton, Nicole Oelschlagel and Zach Cribbin, Ryan, Brandon and Kyle Helmka. Great Grandpa to Kynlee, Mazlyn, and Connor Vandenberg, Cambell Bruce, Hunter and Mindy-Lynne Thring. Brother to Wayne Dietrich and Barb Grigat, Marlene White and Lorne Haggerman, Bud and Diane Dietrich, Linda and Doug Mayberry, Sharon and Paul Lynch, and Larry and Susan Dietrich. Brother-in-law- to Karen Thompson, Barbara Sampson, Sharon and Gary Thackeray, Dorothy Dick, Debbie and Randy Young, Carol Dick, John and Shelley Dick. Brother-in-law to Marion Dick. Predeceased by his parents Edwin John Dietrich (1991) and Margaret Loretta (Scott) Dietrich (2000).  Sister and Brother-in-law to Dorothy (2020) and Donald Helmka (2012). Dianne Dietrich (2023). His Father and Mother-in-law John Alexander Dick (1964) and Helen Marie (Lambier) Dick (1996).  Brother-in-law to John Maurice (2001), Jim (2007), Kenneth (2010), and Ronald Dick (2023). Gary Sampson (2022). Sister-in-law to Donna Dick (2000) and Shirley Dick (2020). Fondly Remembered by Nieces and Nephews. As well as the Lambier Families and Dear Friends Bill and Judy Sinclair and their Families. Cremation has Taken Place and there will be No Visitation. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a Later Date. Interment Donegal Cemetery. A Special Thank you to all the Staff at Wellington Terrace for their Love and Care to Dad over the Years.
