FERGUS – Sherry Humber of Fergus is $100,000 richer after winning with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s (OLG) Instant Gold Pursuit game.
Sherry, 58, enjoys playing Instant Bingo and various other Instant games.
“I’ve been playing the lottery for over 30 years,” she shared at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
“I stopped for gas and decided last minute to pick up a ticket. When I discovered the win, I thought, ‘Okay, this is fake.’ I looked at it maybe three more times and each time my eyes got wider. I started crying tears of joy. All I could think about in that moment was how I would be able to help my son through med school.”
She also plans on taking a cruise and investing her winnings.
“It’s a huge relief,” Humber continued. “It feels like a dream. Words can’t explain this feeling.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on St. David Street in Fergus.
