ELORA – Come celebrate International Women’s Day and listen to a conversation between two best friends.
Sally Litchfield, former CEO of the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce and current economic development coordinator with Centre Wellington Township, will be chatting with her BFF Katie Giddy, vice president of the Grand River Ag Society, The GrandWay, and Grand River Raceway.
Giddy, as many will know, fought a battle against cancer and only recently returned to the workplace.
The two will have what organizers are calling “a funny and inspiring conversation on community, compassion and the inconvenience of cancer.”
The event, in collaboration with Collaborative Women of Wellington County (CWOW), takes place on March 8 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the GrandWay Events Centre.
Tickets include a buffet lunch and cost $50.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Grand River Cancer Centre Foundation.
