The feature artist for the Gallery Concert Series on Feb. 24 at 2 pm at the Wellington County Museum, will be the concert pianist Cheryl Duvall.
She is a graduate of the Wilfrid Laurier University music program. Duvall has performed previously in the Gallery Concert Series and was well received for her warmth and technically strong performance.
The second half of the program will be produced by Ann Monkhouse. She is a solo flute player with the Wellington Winds, and plays in many woodwind quintets. She is also an up and coming producer, with strong contacts with the wind players in Centre Wellington.
Monkhouse will be putting together a variety of musicians for the concert, including one of the best trombone quartets in this area.
The Wellington County Museum Exhibition Hall is a place that attracts many musicians, due to its intimate and colourful space and warm audience.
Buy tickets at the door. Stay after for coffee or tea and refreshments and meet the artists. The final concert in the series takes place on March 16.
