Two Wellington County councillors were elected chairman of parts of their committees last month.
Brad Whitcombe won election as chairman of the library board, which is a part of the information, heritage, and seniors committee of county council. He was already chairman of that county committee.
Councillor Walter Trachsel announced Jan. 31 he was elected chairman of the county’s land division committee.
Trachsel, already chairman of the county planning committee, said when he gave his report that since the land division committee is a separate body with statutory authority, the chairman of that committee must be elected.
