Of Drayton passed away peacefully at the Palmerston and District Hospital with his beloved wife of 39 years Joyce Taylor-White by his side on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the age of 80. Dear brother of Mary Anne and Dave Lorentz of Waterloo and Doris Artuso of Waterloo. Fondly remembered by his nephew Gary Loretz (Karen) and niece Wendy Clouthier (Brent). Great uncle of Andrea, Lisa (Scott) and Zoe. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Mary White, brother Harold White and brother-in-law John Artuso. Joe was a hard worker who spent 35 years in total at Canbar and RTS. He will be missed by his good friends Wanda and Claude Hennessy, Cora and Claude Clouthier, Joanne Raymond and the Bluewater Golf group. Joe loved country music, cars, reading in his favourite chair, camping, golfing, bowling, the Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He especially loved growing roses and beautiful flowers for Joyce. Joe was well known for his making the best Pumpkin Pies from scratch. Special thanks to Dr. Calarco, the doctors, nurses and staff at the Palmerston Hospital and Father Kevin Cull. The support at this difficult time from our good neighbours Peter and Donna, Robert and Lori will not be forgotten. To honour Joe’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held in the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
