It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Robert Leslie Clark Dec 5, 2023 in his 86th year. Bob is survived by his loving wife Dorene Clark of 66 years. He will be greatly missed by Cindy & Rob Driscoll, Greg & Diane Clark, Brenda Smeltzer (Barry 2022), Kevin & Tammie Clark. Beloved grandfather of Brandon & Francis Driscoll, Bryce & Marian Driscoll, Matthew Driscoll, Jeremy & Shelby Clark, Katrina & Bruce Dearborn, Brad & Kerri Smeltzer, Brock & Allison Smeltzer, Brittany & Jake Roberts, Connor & Cassandra Clark, Kathryn Clark & John Smith, Cameron Clark & Malaya Mizal. Cherished Great Grandfather of 14. Will be missed by nieces & nephews. Brother in law of Bill & Anne Dunn. Predeceased by his mother Matilda, sister Viola, brothers Archie, Harold, & Bruce, mother & father in law Cecil & Jean Dunn and loved son in law Barry Smeltzer. Bob was a loving family man who enjoyed camping, fishing, & travelling. He served in the Fergus Fire Dept for 25 years, retiring as Deputy Fire Chief. A member of Branch 275 Fergus Legion for many years. Past employee of Savage Shoe & Canada Wire (Nexans) Fergus. His legacy will be carried on by all who hold him close to their hearts. A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 275 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm with a service that began at 3:30pm. A Legion service took place at 3:15pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Fergus Legion Building Fund.
