The Arboretum fall warbler workshop tackles the “confusing fall warblers.”
The one-day workshop on Sept. 18 from 9am to 4pm, will help registrants learn how to identify warblers during their fall migration – when fall and immature plumage make it a difficult exercise.
The focus will be on warblers that look different from their springtime garb.
Fall migration and wintering grounds will also be covered. The Arboretum’s naturalist, Chris Earley, will lead the workshop.
It is recommended that participants have some experience identifying spring warblers.
The registration fee is $50. For more information, or to register, call The Arboretum at 824-4120 extension 52358.
The registration deadline is Sept. 4.
