FERGUS – Centre Wellington Singers (CWS) Christmas Concert returns to Fergus on Nov. 25.
The not-for-profit all voice community choir – now in its 27th year – is bringing their Christmas musical celebration to Melville United Church in Fergus.
Special guests include the talented soprano Kate Wright along with the Elora Children’s Choir which she directs.
This year’s theme is “Celebrate the Music of Christmas” showcasing both classics of Christmas past and lighthearted takes on Christmas.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to combine our community’s musical talents which span the generations – all in the spirit of Christmas,” said CWS President Lillian Gohn.
“We’ve brought the concert to a larger venue this year in the hopes of sharing our music with a wider audience.”
The concert takes place on Nov. 25 at 3pm at Melville United Church, 300 St. Andrew St. W. in Fergus.
Once the music stops, the fun continues as the audience can mingle with the musicians over tea and treats in the church’s fellowship hall.
Tickets are $20 for adults and children 12 and under are $5.
Tickets are available from choir members or call 519-843-6655 or email: centrewellingtonsingers@gmail.com.
Limited tickets will be available at the door. Follow CWS on Facebook and Instagram – @centrewellingtonsingers or visit centrewellingtonsingers.ca.
CWS is directed by Jurgen Petrenko. Talented organist, pianist and former executive producer for the CBC, founding-director of the 100-voice Toronto Singers (now in its 31st year), and most recently, recipient of The Order of Niagara.
It promises to be a magical, musical afternoon not to be missed.
