GUELPH – The Ignatius Jesuit Centre in Guelph is hosting two hedgelaying events during the month of November.
On Nov. 16 from 7 to 8:30pm, there will be a hedge laying webinar.
The event is said to be a skill-packed webinar on a regenerative permaculture practice where hedges are actively managed through manual cutting.
Doing so aims to offer more ecosystem services than a standard hedge or fence, while rejuvenating the plants.
On Nov. 18, the Ignatius Jesuit Centre is holding an in-person, five-hour long hedge laying workshop from 10am to 3pm.
The workshop has the same concept as the webinar, but participants will also get to enjoy lunch together.
Spaces are limited, and can be signed up for by visiting ignatiusguelph.ca/events/.
