Centre In The Square is presenting Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The international hit plays for a weekend Nov.19 to 21.
Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s collaboration has been delighting audiences worldwide for over 40 years. A rollicking musical retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colours, this rendition features a Pharaoh who sings rock n’ roll, a boy band (Joseph’s 11 brothers) who sing calypso, angels who sing country, and a narrator who belts as if she just stepped out of American Idol.
The show features a cast of over 80 local singers, dancers.
At the centre of the spectacle is Lance Green in the title role of Joseph. Audiences will recognize him from his leading role as Sky in the Toronto production of Mamma Mia.
The show plays Nov. 19 at 7pm, Nov. 20 at 7pm, and, Nov. 21 at 2 and 7pm Tickets range from $32 to @47.
