Local officials are encouraging fitness programs through In Motion to fight off health hazards due to obesity and inactivity.
:It’s a shocking statistic that over half of the residents in Wellington Dufferin Guelph report being inactive,” said regional coordinator of WDG In Motion Karen Armstrong. “Our vision is that Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph will be a physically active, healthy community. By celebrating In Motion Week, we hope to encourage families and individuals to add more physical activity to their daily lives and to draw attention to the work being done in our community to help increase activity rates.”
