GUELPH – Entrepreneurs, business owners, and social enterprises are encouraged to participate in a month-long growth strategies workshop series presented by the Business Centre Guelph-Wellington and the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev).
The Bridges to Better Business program, will run throughout October and offers virtual workshops covering topics such as cash flow, business visibility, small business health and safety, branding, and more.
Kristel Manes, executive director of the Business Centre Guelph-Wellington (BCGW), expressed excitement about this collaboration, saying, “We are thrilled to be working with FedDev Ontario again to offer this yearly program.
“We have seen great successes for our regional businesses through these courses and information sessions in past years.”
This year’s program includes a mix of virtual and in-person sessions, as well as a Small Business Crawl event on Oct. 19 in partnership with Visit Guelph and Invest in Guelph to support local entrepreneurs.
Last year, BCGW hosted 30 unique events with 650 registrants and 522 attendees through a combination of live and in-person events.
Program coordinator Angela Poirier explained, “We are featuring expert guests from a wide range of business backgrounds, experience, and lifestyles.
“Our goal is to help entrepreneurs and small business owners gain access to information that will help them take their business goals to the next step and think creatively about their business opportunities.”
The program is open to entrepreneurs and small business owners at various stages, from the idea phase to expansion.
Sessions begin Oct. 1 and continue throughout the month. Workshop details are available online, and registration for virtual sessions remains open until 6 p.m. the day before each event.
The Bridges to Better Business program is supported by FedDev Ontario, which delivers programming to foster business growth, cultivate partnerships, and strengthen communities.
