CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Cody Shepperd Project hosted 108 golfers at its 6th annual Cody Shepperd Memorial Golf Tournament on Sept. 9, with funds raised going to mental health supports and initiatives in Centre Wellington.
“‘Wow’ is all we can say, what a perfect day, the love and support brought to the 6th annual golf tournament was phenomenal. We had a lot of newcomers this year,” stated Darcie Shepperd (Cody’s mother).
“We love seeing new and old faces every year, they all get why we do this, for Cody and for all of those who get up every day and fight the fight.”
The memorial tournament supported The Grove Youth Wellness Hub once again this year and raised $26,300.
Over the six years, the event has raised $176,300.
Jeff Hoffman, the executive director of The Grove, and three volunteers were on site to chat with the golfers about the Hub and also enjoyed the fun.
Winners of the tournament were Randy Mullin, Dwayne Stephens and Jordan Smith.
