We sadly announce the passing of Mildred Eisenbach on August 3rd 2023, at the age of 68. After living bravely with cancer for several years, she peacefully left this life on a sunny, summer afternoon with family by her side. Mildred was the loving wife of John Eisenbach for nearly forty-six years. Beloved mother of Kristina (Michael) and Mark, and doting grandmother to Isabella and Leo. Cherished sister of Cheryl (Ron) Packer, Shelley (Kerry) Hillis, and sister-in-law of Kathy (Glenn) Mauer. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Marjorie (Lane) Speers, and her dear brother Donald Speers. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, aunts, many cousins, extended family and dear friends. Mildred worked in student affairs at the University of Guelph for over forty years, most recently as Manager, Academic Learning Communities with Student Housing Services. She was a beloved member of the campus community, and provided guidance and inspiration to generations of UofG students. Beyond her family and career, Mildred’s great passions were travel and photography. She lived to explore the sights and sounds of new cultures and countries, and her lovingly curated photo albums will be a treasure and comfort to her family for years to come. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home – Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. Visitation will be held on Monday August 14, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday August 15, 2023 at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington or the Guelph General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
