MINTO – On July 20 at about 10am, a Wellington County OPP officer observed tire debris in a live lane of traffic on Highway 89 here.
“After removing the debris, the officer located the commercial motor vehicle responsible for it,” police stated in a press release.
A 44-year-old from Thornloe (north of North Bay) was charged with wheel separation on a commercial motor vehicle, failing to maintain a daily log, failing to accurately complete an inspection report, and driving a commercial motor vehicle without an electronic logging device.
The defendant is to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 4.
