DRAYTON – The last day of soccer camp was held at the Kinsmen soccer fields in Drayton on July 19. Kids were excited to have the chance to look inside a real fire truck, and to later have the truck spray water from its hose as a cool-down on the warm summer evening. Steve Suggett started the eight-week soccer camp that is available to three-year-olds in the Mapleton and surrounding area in 2021 as there were no sports available to children under the age of four. Suggett began charging a registration fee last summer, and all proceeds go toward the Mapleton Fire Department, of which he is also a part.
