Annual Crime Stoppers mulch sale held in Mount Forest on May 6

MOUNT FOREST – A sure sign of spring in Mount Forest is the mulch sale put on by Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington.

The annual fundraiser was first held in Guelph on May 6, and again in Mount Forest on  May 13.

Crime Stoppers staff teamed up with a group of volunteers to set up an efficient drive-through pick up system in the parking lot at Young’s Home Hardware in Mount Forest.

Program coordinator Sarah Bowers-Peter said the event was extremely well attended.

“I can’t say enough good things about Marty Young and Home Hardware, allowing us to use their parking lot,” said Bowers-Peter.

The two mulch sales are the only spring fundraisers organized by Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington and provide revenue required to operate the program and pay rewards to tip providers.
