HARRISTON – The Grey Wellington Theatre Guild is casting for its first Summer Youth Theatre production since 2019.
The guild put the popular youth program on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic, instead offering outdoor theatre games and other youth activities on a limited scale.
“We’re so excited to bring youth theatre back to the guild this summer,” said co-director Megan Raftis. “Our youth programming has been an important part of bringing new people into our theatre – plus it’s always a lot of fun.”
Casting is set for May 24 at 6pm at the Harriston Town Hall Theatre, 68 Elora Street South, Harriston.
The program is open to young people age 6 to 18. No experience is necessary. Some roles require dancing. Participants should come to the casting prepared to read or recite (no rhymes).
There is no charge for participation in the program, which culminates with three performances of the production entitled Spirited! on July 28, 29 and 30. For information email gwtg@wightman.ca.
