Centre Wellington Chamber gearing up for gala

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce will kick off its Awards of Excellence week with the Launch Lunch, an event to recognize long-serving businesses in the community.

The Launch Lunch is slated for May 24 at the Elora Mill.

The event will include brief speeches from a few honorees, and lunch. Tickets for the Launch Lunch are $47.50 plus HST per person.

Forty-year businesses being honoured include Graham A. Giddy Funeral Homes Ltd. and H & R Machine.

Twenty-five-year businesses include Cut & Design, AL-DO-IT, Correct Fire & Security, Gorge Country Kitchen, Ian Evans & Associates Inc., MACH ONE Communications, My Next Promo, Precision Outdoor Power, and Riverwood Retreat B&B.

Ten-year awards will go to Autism Behavioural Services Inc., Comhan Canada Inc., The Grand FM101.1, The Grape House, Horizon Quest Inc., Kelly Gemmell Photography, NexGEN Marketing Group, REMAX Real Estate Centre Inc. ~ Janette Gajic, Sensational You, Blue Bonnet Lassies School of Highland Dance and Wreckless Eric.

One-year awards go to Fergus Whalers Jr. C Hockey Club, IMpower Wellness,  Sparkle Factor Inc, Super Helper 911 Inc, Vault Cafe Bar, 519 Blanks & Crafts and The Outpost Bottle Shop.

The gala

The gala event is on May 30 at the GrandWay Events Centre where the winners of 12 categories will be announced. 

It will run from 5:30pm to 10pm and includes a drinks reception, a three-course dinner, and an evening of celebration. The cost for in-person tickets is $80 plus HST.

The event will also be live-streamed for free at cwchamber.ca/awards at 7pm.
