Easter in the park – The second annual Mount Forest Lions’ Easter Egg Hunt was held on April 8 at Campbell DeVore Park. A large crowd of colourfully dressed families braved single-digit temperatures to scour the lawn for eggs. Paw Patrol characters, as well as the Easter Bunny, drew long lines for photos. Free hotdogs and water were provided, and $355 in donations to the local food bank were received. Co-sponsor Mount Forest Scotiabank matched the dollar amount for the food bank. Organizers were pleased with the turnout of about 230 youngsters, about the same attendance as last year. Brooklyn Haines was a fast learner when it came to collecting Easter eggs.
