Betty will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Clifford and Louise (McVannel) Budd. Also by Glen’s brother Jim and his wife Flo, and brother-in-law Bert Ross. Betty was a wonderful support to her entire family all her life and appreciated the many kindnesses shown to her. A special thanks to the doctors at the Mount Forest Family Health Team, the entire LMH staff, her Faith Baptist Church family, and to the many neighbours and friends for their care and concern for Betty and her family. Betty was born in Shelburne on March 11, 1935. Her family moved to a farm in Howick Township when she was 14. She attended Listowel District Secondary School and then worked for a time at Canada Packers in Walkerton and Mount Forest. On January 14, 1954, she met Glen and they married two years later. They farmed in Minto Township for many years before retiring to Harriston. Betty had a passion for family history and researched several branches of her family trees. A quiet woman of faith, she was secure in the knowledge of her future, and did not fear death. She lived out her faith in supporting her husband, caring for her children, fulfilling the duties of Church Treasurer, teaching Sunday School, and leading Pioneer Girls. She showed kindness and thankfulness to all with whom she crossed paths. Private family burial in Harriston Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00pm. The Celebration of Her Life will be held at Faith Baptist Church, Mount Forest, on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Peter Lemont officiating. The service will be livestreamed and available here shortly. In lieu of flowers, please consider a lasting gift in memory to the Faith Baptist Church in Mount Forest or the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation. Online condolences at www.hardyleefuneralhome.com
