April is National Poetry Month, and this year the League of Canadian Poets invites you to celebrate the 25th anniversary with the theme joy.
What inspires joy for you? Think about the small joys like a perfectly warm cup of tea on a frosty morning, or the larger joys like a reunion with a loved one. Try writing about them!
Poetry should be accessible to everyone because everyone has something valuable to share. There are so many diverse types of poetry to create and consume, and there is no better time to get started than now. Not sure how to get started? Check out a new volume of poetry from the Wellington County Library:
