Wild and Free is a “vibrant, colourful and explosive collection of expressions of flora and fauna as interpreted by 35 artists from across Headwaters region,” reads the press release.
“Artists are so inspired by the wild and the re-birth and beauty of spring’s flora and fauna, this show promises to get all of us excited for the coming of spring.”
The 47 selected pieces on exhibit include works in a variety of mediums: oil, watercolour and acrylic paintings, pastels, textiles, encaustic/mixed media, prints, photogram, fine art photography, mixed media mosaic, clay, metal and acrylic/paper.
You can meet the artists at the official opening reception on March 25, from 1 to 3pm at the Headwaters Arts Gallery in the Alton Mill Arts Centre.
