of Arthur passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in her 77th year. Beloved mother of Kim and her husband Mark Watson of Ottawa and Tracy and her husband Don Tilbury of Kitchener. Cherished grandmother of Amber, Liam, Jasmine, Natasha and Caitlyn. Diane will be fondly remembered by her nephews Roger, Brian and Jamie Gowland and their families, as well as by her best friend for over 60 years, Sharon Boyd. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Beulah (Hart) Gowland (both 2000), her brother Fred Gowland (2017) and infant grandson Adam Watson (2008). Diane was raised on a farm just outside of Arthur, left when she married her girls father James and returned to her hometown when that marriage ended. Diane has lived in her same house for over 38 years. She loved flowers and was often seen puttering in her numerous gardens. To honour Diane’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will not be a service or visitation. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthur Horticultural Society would be appreciated by the family.
