ERIN – Wellington County OPP officials are investigating two incidents there last week.
On Feb. 20 at about 11pm multiple suspects attended a business on Erin Park Drive in Erin in a U-Haul truck.
“Two suspects seen with the U-Haul were unsuccessful in stealing any money or items from the business but caused approximately $25,000 in damage.,” police stated.
“A second vehicle, possibly a 2005 black Subaru Forester that had been reported stolen from the Nottawasaga area was also seen in the parking lot with the U-Haul.”
On Feb. 21 at about 4am, the U-Haul and the suspect(s) attended a second business on Erin Park Drive.
The suspects gained entry to the business and stole a black 2013 Dodge Caravan with (license plate BXXW477) and a white 2009 Chevrolet Express Van (plate BE67965).
“A business logo that consisted of a black circle with white writing was painted on the back of the Chevrolet van,” states the OPP.
Police say the U-Haul truck used in these incidents has since been recovered but the OPP is looking to identify two suspects as well as to locate the other vehicles involved.
Businesses and residences in the area are asked to check their surveillance footage between 10:30pm and 7:30am on Feb. 20/21.
