Peacefully with family by this side, at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Aberdeen) of Orangeville. Loving father of Jason (Jennifer) Thompson and Nicole (Chris) Batt. Cherished Papa of Ryan, Owen, Noah Thompson and Adam Batt. Remembered fondly by his siblings Bonnie (late Ben) Palubiski, Brenda (late Bruce) Hanna, Betty Ann (late Allan) Fawcett and Tom (Cindy) Thompson. Brother-in-law to Hilda (Steve) Barrett and the late Warren Aberdeen. Uncle to David, Shelley, John, David (late Steven), Robert, Jennifer, Devin, Travis and Tyler. Predeceased by his parents June McIntyre and Bob Thompson. Don was a proud father and papa who loved the great outdoors, creating special memories at his cottage. He could be found gathered around the campfire with those he loved. Telling stories into the night of his life, travels and his work along the way. Memorial visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Sunday, March 19th, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
