GUELPH – A Brampton man was arrested on Feb. 9 as part of an ongoing Guelph Police Service investigation into robberies involving items listed for sale online.
“Police have been investigating several reports of items being stolen using violence or threats by persons responding to advertisements on popular buying and selling websites,” police stated in a press release.
“At least one of these incidents allegedly involved the use of a firearm.”
A 20-year-old Brampton man was arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm, robbery, possession of stolen property over $5,000, fraud under $5,000, trafficking in stolen property and possessing a controlled substance.
