GRAHAM, Kenneth Duncan

Known for his deep faith and good humour, Kenneth Duncan Graham will be missed by the many people who love him. He took his last breath, to be with his Lord and Saviour, on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Groves Memorial Hospital after complications from pneumonia shortly after his 89th birthday. Longtime farmer and resident of Coningsby, and more recently of Fergus, Ken was born to Morgan Graham and Elsie (Smith) in 1934. The youngest of nine children, predeceased by eight siblings and survived by sister-in-law Marion Graham, Ken grew to love music, travel, and many friends. He married Ann Constable in 1959 and raised four children: Beth Knox (Stephen), Elaine McDougall (Jeff), Colleen Lloyd (Andy), and Dave (Lynn).  After more than 45 years of sharing their lives and love together, Ken and his family grieved the loss of Ann in 2005. Ken continued expressing his faith by serving as a church elder, and by volunteering with Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW) where he travelled worldwide to provide “bed kits” to children who need them. Eventually Ken’s travels took him to all seven continents. He is also survived by his dearly loved second wife, Hilda Grant, whom he married in 2014. Ken will be deeply missed by Hilda and her children: Bill Grant (Susan) and Andrea Grant. Everyone who met Ken was charmed by his depth of character and hospitality. His legacy serves as a model of a faithful life, well lived, to his grandchildren: Kathleen and Heather Knox; Graham (Amanda) and Duncan McDougall; Emily, Ian, and Sean Lloyd; Mac, Madeleine (Lukas Winter), and Eden (Elijah Birley) Graham; Aly and Josh Grant. In memory of Ken, friends and family are invited to make donations to Sleeping Children Around the World (scaw.org). Ken’s family welcomed visitors to Graham Giddy Funeral Home (Fergus) from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The celebration of his life will be at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fergus at 1pm on Thursday, February 9. At the request of the family, please wear a mask.
