With extremely heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice Gertrude Tolton in her 88th year, at St. Mary’s hospital in Kitchener, Ontario, on the evening of January 28th, 2023. Bernice, pre-deceased by her parents Rudolph (Dolly) and Annie Fladd, as well as her sister Thelma Eastman, is survived by her husband of 67 years, K. Morley Tolton of Elora, Ontario, and brother George Fladd of Fergus, Ontario. As well, by daughters Lori Tolton (Boudy V.) of Amaranth, Ontario, Brenda Robinson (Gary R.) of Salem, Ontario, and Joanne Agla (Owen) of Chatham Ontario. Also survived by granddaughter Kara Walker (Greg), grandson Aaron Robinson, and great-grandchildren Aubrey and Asher. Morley and Bernice, both raised in Elora, moved to Guelph Ontario to raise their own family, returning to their home town upon retirement. She was a wonderful wife and mother having a caring and compassionate soul. She was fortunate in life to have true and long-lasting friendships that meant so very much to her. Bernice is also fondly remembered by most as a warm and friendly host – always prepared to feed a convention if one happened to drop by – no one left the Tolton home hungry. She will be so dearly missed by her entire family (including her two cats whom she loved). Cremation has taken place. Bernice’s family will celebrate her life privately.
