Did you know that all of the branches listed below in Wellington County Library have fireplaces?
Picture the quiet hum of a library, a comfortable arm chair where you can curl up with a book, newspaper, or magazine, and the warm glow of the fireplace on your face.
If you prefer not to leave the cozy comforts of your home unless necessary this month, you can still access everything but the fireplace at home. Download our Libby app and read e-Books and magazines, or listen to an audiobook from your phone or tablet.
Did you know there are no wait lists for magazines when you read online? Some of our most popular titles this time of year include Style at Home, Chatelaine, Canadian Living, and Farmhouse Style for their holiday content. The New York Times is also available on your computer or mobile device via the Library’s subscription.
December and January are full of festivities from many cultures. No matter what you celebrate, get in the spirit of the holidays with programming from Wellington County Library. Some of our programming this month even takes place beside the fireplace! Stories, knitting, and more all become a little more atmospheric with the flicker of firelight. Please contact your local branch or visit www.wellington.ca/LibraryCalendar for a full list of programming and to register online.
