WELLINGTON COUNTY – County engineer Don Kudo received a 2022 Municipal Engineers Award at the Municipal Engineers Association’s (MEA) 2022 conference on Nov. 17.
Award recipients have given outstanding service to society and the community, have been recognized for work-related accomplishments in an engineering project of above-average merit, and/or have a record of long-term service.
Kudo was nominated by his peers for the award.
He has worked in the municipal engineering field for over 34 years.
Prior to joining the county in 2017, he worked at Halton Hills and Guelph “where he provided outstanding community service and enhanced municipal engineering” though participation with the MEA, Ontario Good Roads Association and Ontario Public Works Association.
“I would like to congratulate Don Kudo on this well-deserved recognition,” said county CAO Scott Wilson.
“The county is very fortunate to have Don as our county engineer.
“Don’s experience and knowledge of public infrastructure and dedication to public service make him a worthy recipient of this prestigious award.”
