GUELPH – Three people are facing charges after police seized an estimated almost $600,000 in drugs and more than $120,000 in cash and high-end clothing.
The Guelph Police Service Drug Unit commenced a cocaine trafficking investigation in the spring of 2022.
The investigation led to the arrest of three Guelph residents on Nov. 2: two men aged 26 and 28, and a woman aged 52. All three are charged with multiple drug offences and held for bail hearings.
Two search warrants were conducted with the assistance of the Guelph Police Service tactical and the break and enter units. Police reportedly seized the following:
– 3,625g of cocaine valued at $362,500 (if sold by the gram);
– 302g of MDMA valued at $30,200;
– 3,205g of meth valued at $160,250;
– 583 MDMA pills valued at $5,690;
– 1,597 Percocet pills (containing oxycodone) valued at $7,985;
– 100 pills of 40mg oxycodone valued at $4,000;
– 1,115 LSD blotter tabs valued at $11,150;
– 310g psilocybin mushrooms valued at $1,500; and
– 3,937g of cannabis valued at $8,800.
Also seized was $60,707 in high-end clothing, jewelry and watches, and $62,165 in Canadian currency.
Police say this project was supported through funding provided by the Government of Ontario and Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario.
Hockey equipment, earrings stolen
ELORA – Police are looking for clues after somebody stole hockey equipment and jewelry from a vehicle here last weekend.
Wellington County OPP officials say officers responded to a reported theft on McNab Street East in Elora on Nov. 6.
Police say that sometime between Nov. 4 and 6, someone stole approximately $450 worth of hockey equipment and a set of earrings from the victim’s vehicle.

Child not secured
GUELPH/ERAMOSA – On Nov. 2 a Wellington County OPP officer stopped a red SUV on Highway 7, after no front license plate was observed on the vehicle.
A 31-year-old from Erin was charged with driving while suspended, failing to display two plates, driving while child passenger not properly secured, and failing to surrender a permit.
The defendant is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
