Guelph/Eramosa Fire Department share fire safety message at various events

Education and fun - Members of the Guelph/Eramosa Fire Department took their fire safety messages to various community groups in October, which was the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week across Canada. Fire safety class - Members of the Guelph/Eramosa Fire Department brought a fire truck to Rockwood’s Sacred Heart Catholic School for a fire safety talk with students on Oct. 19. In the centre is firefighter Kenny McQuinn giving students a tour.
Practicing fire safety - On Oct. 13, the Guelph/Eramosa Fire Department hosted a community fire extinguisher training workshop at the Rockwood fire hall. Supervising the event, Fire Prevention Officer Mathew Williamson instructed a resident on how to correctly and safely use a fire extinguisher on a live fire.
