CAMBRIDGE – Renowned author and Dragons’ Den star Dave Chilton promises a powerful antidote to all the negativity out there as he prepares to take centre stage at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge on Oct. 13 at 7:30pm.
“I assure you that you don’t want to miss this unusual speech. You’ll leave inspired. Very inspired,” says artistic director Alex Mustakas, a lifelong friend of Chilton’s.
Raised in Kitchener, Chilton took the country by storm in 1989 with his fresh and creative perspective on personal finance in his self-published book The Wealthy Barber, which has distinguished itself as the best-selling book in Canadian publishing history.
In 2012, Chilton joined the hit CBC TV series, Dragons’ Den, where, for three seasons, he translated his savvy financial expertise into many different successful investments.
Chilton has long been one of the most sought-after speakers in North America, thanks to his light-hearted delivery and fun-filled insights.
In fact, Chilton is so in demand that he will be filming this new and unique live speech in Cambridge as a pilot for a TV special.
Chilton’s association with Drayton Entertainment runs deep. While studying at Wilfrid Laurier University, he formed a business with Mustakas called Davalex Investments.
“As lifelong friends, I have been privileged to cheer on Dave’s professional success,” says Mustakas.
“His business achievements, numerous accolades, and lasting impression on both the financial planning and publishing industries in Canada are a great source of pride for Waterloo Region.
“Dave’s common-sense approach to life and tongue-in-cheek delivery are surefire ingredients for a memorable evening of entertainment,” he adds.
“Of course, you know Dave as The Wealthy Barber and a former Dragon on Dragons’ Den, but this evening is about a subject much more important than money and business. I can honestly say it is a wonderful message and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
Tickets for An Intimate and Unique Evening with David Chilton are only $35, and are available through the Drayton Entertainment box office at 519-621-8000 or online at www.draytonentertainment.com.
All ticket sales proceeds from this Drayton Entertainment fundraiser will help support the new Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy facility located at 145 Northfield Drive West in Waterloo.
