EDEN MILLS – The 14th annual Eden Mills Book Sale is back.
It will take place Sept. 17 from 9am to 1pm at the Eden Mills Community Hall, 104 York Street, on the island in the Eramosa River in downtown of Eden Mills.
Books have been donated by the hundreds and thousands, Book Sale officials say.
“There are always great finds for the collector, and lots of books you’ve had on your reading list for years, both fiction and non-fiction, children’s or adult, coffee-table and bedside,” organizers add.
“The prices make it a bargain shopping spree.”
One book – $3; two books – $5; six books – $10; nine books – $15.
You can pay by cash at the sale, or on-line at www.edenmills.ca/Donate Books .
Organizers are accepting donations on Sept. 16 from 4 to 8pm at the hall (no dirty, water damaged, smoky, stained, mildewed books).
Organizers cannot accept audio-cassettes, video-cassettes, CD’s, Reader’s Digest. However, they do accept intact board games and puzzles, DVDs and blu rays.
All the funds raised go to the Eden Mills Community Club, which operates the hall – the heart of village life.
The 100-year-old hall has been newly retrofitted to be the most carbon neutral heritage building of its type in Canada.
