WELLINGTON COUNTY – Learning Disabilites Association (LDA) of Wellington County is opening the registration for its fall executive skills program.
Limited spots are available, organizers note. The program will be cancelled if low registration so organizers ask that those interested register early to secure a spot in this program.
The program begins on Sept. 26 and runs until Nov. 14 from 6:30 to 7:45pm.
The program is geared towards students ages 11 to 14 with a learning disability or ADHD diagnosis.
It will host a small group (maximum eight children) with a learning disability and/or with ADHD with skills associated with executive functioning.
This program will help your child improve in one or more of the skills listed below:
– planning;
– time management;
– organization;
– task Initiation;
– impulse control;
– sustained attention;
– working memory;
– self-awareness;
– flexibility; and
– perseverance
The program will run for one hour and 15 minute sessions, one day a week for a duration of eight weeks beginning Sept. 26 from 6:30 to 7:45pm. The cost is $200 for members and $260 for non-members.
