Mount Forest Sidewalk Saturday event a success

Main Street North in Mount Forest was closed on Aug. 13 for a special event hosted by the local business association. Vendors brought their wares to the street and there was food, drink, items to buy, music to enjoy, and kids’ activities up and down the street. Photos by Joanne Shuttleworth

Mya and Jacob Rawley got a little seed money for their business, Tie Dye and Sweets, from the Saugeen Start Up Program. Sales were going well for the siblings on Aug. 13.

The Mount Forest Lions Club has hosted the annual Terry Fox Run for some 25 years and someone made a quilt from the annual t-shirts for the event. The quilt was on display at the Mount Forest Sidewalk Saturday event on the weekend. The Terry Fox Run is slated for Sept. 18,
